do you have a dning table and do you use it (for the right purpose!!)

i have been thinking of getting one recently as i current have to cut my food up in the kitchen before sitting down to eat it because i'm too kack handed to do it with the food on my lap lol

my living room is fairly space limited so am lookin at what options are out there.

I've always had a dining room table and always sat at it to eat. Would never eat my food in the front room or on my knee.

was the first piece of furniture i bought for the flat, we use it for all sorts. Arts n crafts, jigsaws, reading, but yeah we eat at the table together

Go to a second hand furniture place and you will find some lovely old, proper wood drop leaf tables for about £50.

Mine just has lots of photos of the kids on it so I never use it for eating. I do have a couple of folding 1 person tables that I use.

Somewhere under a mountain of camera equipment, computers, mail and assorted other shit in our dining room is a dining room table. We eat at the table if we have guests ! Then I can't find any of my camera gear

got to love a facebook bargain!!!

got one exactly like my sisters, double leaf folding table where the chairs store inside

she paid £200 for hers and i paid £40

need to rearrange my living room a bit but will wait till the muscle visits

My living room is tiny, we got a table and two benches from Argos when we first moved in and the table is huge. So we use the benches as tables and the actual table is in storage till we get a bigger space. It was £100 but it does us fine

I don't have a dining room or a lot of space but I do have a dining table in the living room.I used to have a folding ikea one (which was actually meant to be a garden table, it was slatted and had a parasol hole lol but with a pvc tablecloth no one knew) and four folding chairs but then the in laws bought us a new one for Christmas which is a chunky thing with two backless benches that slide totally underneath. Shortly after* we got the table we split up but I kept the table at my house as he didn't have room for it. The benches are great and make a handy little table to put the laptop on when I'm sat on the sofa.

*I actually waited until we had finished assembling the table to have the convo about splitting up as I thought flatpack would be unbearable afterwards. It took wayyyy longer than anticipated and was not a fun evening!

Being a very messy person who dislike housework with a vengeance, my two dining tables, one in the lounge and the other in the kitchen diner, are covered with bits and bobs. The coffee table is also covered.

I sit on the sofa and have my dinner on top of the lappy that sits on top of the foot stool, usually under the watchful eyes of the cat and the dog.

If space is limited, consider those folding tables with chairs nested inside the table. Downside with those is that the legs get in the way.

I have folding aluminum topped bistro tables where the top flips down, and aluminum folding chairs.

I dig out where I got mine later when I am using the lappy.

Can't find the details of the firms where I got my folding aluminium tables and chairs.

However, try Googling keys words of Aluminium Folding Bistro Table or Chairs and you'll find loads being listed.
