WHITCHURCH, Shropshire

Thomas the Tank Engine proved really useful (excuse the pun) to me in my early childhood especially when I was diagnosed mildly autistic as it taught me emotion-to-facial expression, reading (some of the books matched television narration) & writing/spelling (was the youngest in my class to spell carriage ☺️)

Beyond that, it tended to be many of the Hanna Barbera cartoons such as Wacky Races, Scooby Doo, etc or even Extreme Ghostbusters into my teens but Thomas would be majorly influential in my life to a adult interest of railways & a evolution of a love to proper steam trains as I grew older 🛤🚂 I did get bullied in school for it as you can imagine but ironically some of those who bullied developed similar interests into their adulthood 😉
