When are you putting up the easter decorations?

Jump to newest

From the land of haribos.

We will do it today, we usually wait with the decorations abit, we usually put it up during the holy week.

It would be interesting to see when you will put your ones up, have you already done it, do you do it early, especially if the easter bunny visits your house too?

We managed to get an Easter tree yesterday. The garden centre told us that due to the horrendous weather we’ve had that stocks are very low. We’ll decorate it tomorrow.

I presume it's a palm tree, to celebrate Palm Sunday.

All over

Not this year. Usually do a lot as love all the colours, seasonal flowers etc. I usually put up an Easter tree and all the other easter stuff too like painted eggs, easter wreath and other decorations and bake a simnel cake too but not this year. However have plans for a roast lamb dinner, plenty of chocolate eggs and hot cross buns.

Genuine question...

What decorations do people put up for Easter?

I've never encountered anyone who does this in my 56 turns around the sun. And I honestly don't think I've ever seen anything sold in shops - but that may just be because I only ever go to the same supermarket once a week and their entire Easter range consists of confectionary and bakery goods.

So where does one purchase such decorations from?

With only a 'smallish' Tesco in our town, I haven't seen any decorations there. And the other sites you mention aren't retailers I would normally frequent.

But now I know Easter decorations exist I may make an effort to seek some out for next year.

At school we made paper chains, painted faces on eggs, and made paper mache balloons with pva glue and newspapers, but since then I just buy the occasional egg when they're reduced. I still have fond memories of the mini eggs and giant mini eggs from Woolworths pic'n mix .

You live in Spain where many people put up lots of Easter decorations. In Britain it's not so popular.
