I'm late to the party about the kitkat heist.

Someone stole 12 Tonnes worth, 400000 kitkat bars.

How would you even go about selling that volume?

Whats your favourite kitkat?

Chunky.

2 fingers.

4 fingers.

I'm a 4 fingers kind of guy.

The question is why would you bother. Definitely a chocolate of last resort.

I used to work for them and to me it doesn't sound that much. Given cist wise its a few million.

In years gone by it would have been easy on the Sunday markets etc.but not sure about today's.

Years back a manager at Mars shipped multiple trailers out of one of their locations

My dear fellow that is not a heist. Well, it is, but not enough to upset my fellow man...

A few years back during one of my 'playdates' (ok, we all detest that term) my partner decided to eat ALL of the free KitKat™ that was supplied by the hotel. You know, those generous bars of confectionery dutifully placed on the hospitality tray next to the Nespresso™ machine, with the compliments of the house and all that jazz...?

I was livid. I almost went thermonuclear at the sheer audacity of this wench who lay next to me blagging my share of the chocolate.

To answer your question — I like the four fingered KitKat™ but hospitality trays will never be the same again after this recent heist.

Oh i saw something on Facebook. Thought it was a joke. You get more chocolate on four fingers and apparently the chocolate that separates the fingers has a name but I forget what it waa

None of the above. I'm making ethical decisions on what I buy. Local products, local businesses.

Southend, Essex

The shipment left the factory in Italy and was on the way to Poland. It was the F1 KitKat.

Good question, is there locally sourced cocoa beans in this country?

Probably not. It's either a local hipster shop which tends to be pricey or supermarket brand chocolate. Occasionally there are market stalls around London and a few chocolate vendors turn up.

I mean, cocoa beans don't grow in this country so it would be tough to locally source them. But there are some good ethical chocolate makers and small businesses where they meet and work with the producers themselves. It's pricey, but worth the effort imo
