Unfortunately I am attending my normal mental health talking group tonight in a premise with its sole entrance directly in front of where I was verbally abused on Sunday evening over my identity. It doesn't exactly inspire me to be too obvious about who I am tonight." Ugh, sorry to hear that. Hope you’re ok and that tonight helps. Talking groups are such a good idea, but they need to be in safe surroundings. | |||

It is just unfortunate that McDonalds moved in opposite our meeting place and now attracts some choice adolescents to hang around outside it most evenings. | |||

If we look at the timeline, there was a very deliberate shift in political strategy around 2017. Once the legal battle over same-sex marriage, especially in the US, was largely settled, certain political groups explicitly pivoted their focus toward the trans community to maintain their base's engagement. It wasn't that trans activism 'failed,' but rather that a highly organized and well-funded effort chose us a new target for a political 'wedge issue. | |||
