With so many people participating in the various forum challenges over the past year.. whats been the response to all the crazy avatars from people who perhaps do not use the forums? Do they bring in more curiosity that strikes up conversation or do you think it puts people off?

For me i am not bothered about meeting, but if i were actively searching to meet i would have to the weary of what my avatar picture looks like. First impressions and all that jazz

Most people seem to like them. I don't think people care what the avatar is like really. They just look at the main pics in your public gallery.

The avatars are fine, it's the face pic to follow that puts then off when they realise I am that bloke off the telly

They can catch the eye yes, but i laways check out pics and read the profile and mainly go by verifications.

I tend to get much better messages off really fun and interesting people when I participate in these shenanigans, many of which rarely post on the forums. Of course you lot are all bonkers so it makes me look good

im quite shallow and if i dont like an avatar picture i wont often bother clicking to learn more about the person.

If i see something a bit random looking and creative curiosity will get the better of me and will investigate.

well my blender avatar picture did bring some attention, more shock I think. BTW cute, it avatar reminds me of some gay pride big brother logo xx

Had a random message from a lady this morning along the lines of "men in saucepans do it for me", jesting of course (I think).

She said "watch this space" after I explained why I had said item stuck on ma bonce and that it was an open challenge.

Can only be good if it brings more folk into the forums
