And not just inappropriate because they/you are in a relationship - that’s too easy!

Thinking more like your boss, a parent’s friend, your friend’s sister. Someone who, theoretically, you could have sex with, but you both know it would raise eyebrows.

In my case, it was my mum’s younger friend (but who was still a good twenty years older than me!) She moved to another city and when I was 21 kindly did my mum a favour by letting me crash at hers one night when I had a job interview near where she lived. For reference, this was a nice suburban semi-detached place which she shared with her youngest son who was around three years younger than me.

I’d not seen her in person since I was around 15. She was very welcoming, but I recall the next morning her going about the place in her bathrobe and, at one point, offering to plug something in for me, whilst in said bathrobe, so that she bent over in front of me, bum raised and scant inches away from my groin.

Of course nothing happened

I’m not sure if she was deliberately being a bit flirty, but even if she had been I’d have been too shy at that age to do anything about it! But the thought of reaching out and lifting that robe and her pushing into me has remained a favourite fantasy ever since!
