Penrith

On a holiday in Normandy, went for a meal in a local restaurant, no English menu, very little English spoken, just absorb the atmosphere, and go for it. I ordered the local delicacy as a main course, had no clues what it was, but it couldn’t be awful, right?

There was a moment, as I sat there waiting, when the word ‘tripe’ popped in to my head, from somewhere in the depths of my unconscious…..😬

Sure enough, this plate arrived, the lady owner of the establishment so proud this Englishman had ordered her homemade version of this regional delicacy………tripe sausage. Think; Mortadella, but with great chunks of tripe……🤢

I had one bite, and ate the fries. The owner was destroyed, bless her…..🫣

Snacks that aren't crisps.

Monster munch etc, just utterly disgusting.

Oh and all crisps should be ready salted, or cheese and onion at a push.
