So what would you be doing. I am looking at new exciting things . X keep thinking should I get a place over seas as a new escape make new friends but it’s picking a place I wish to keep going back too. If I was not single maybe be easier as would feel more confident.

Writing, drawing comics and travelling a lot. Downsides of being an artist is you're a bit of a recluse so I try and see the world as much as I can. Had a recent trip to Japan and I really want to go back.

I do all the things I didn't have time to when I was on the work, sleep, repeat treadmill.

I don't have to work, but I love my work and the freedom it gives me, so I would not know what to do with myself (though the next stage will be to buy a place with land and outbuildings and carry on hobbies in the outbuildings and have a larger apiary and maybe do up a van as a camper for weekends away).

Condolences to you.

I have loads of hobbies that probably seem boring to people, my dad is 99 and takes up a lot of our time, I go out with friends a fair bit and really enjoy having time to just enjoy being alive.

If you join a dating site it will certainly be interesting 😬🤔🤣🤣

I do have to work.

And will always have to work.

But if the lottery came in i would travel. Once i became tired of that, i would have a little work shop or i'd do little handyman bits for those that need help. Cost would be a cup of coffee and if it was more than an hours work, a biscuit added to the coffee bill.

It’s not dangerous as long as your prepared and don’t take stupid chance, short hop across the channel then around the coast to Italy , avoid deep waters when you can and just hug the coastline, stopping at destinations along the way, then off to the Greek islands , target Kefalonio and stay for winter !

I’d just enjoy having the time to go whatever, get up with no alarm then walk the dog for 2-3 hours in countryside under the summer sun without a care in the world before going home for breakfast and decide how to spend rest of day, not train at 8pm any more when gym is quiet, to just jump in the van at a minutes notice and fuck off for days/week ect

I’d also periodically apply for a job and he the worst employee possible till I got sacked

Sounds fantastic. I used to live in the Ionian Islands. It is generally very balmy in the winter, but can also get very wet...but at least it's warm(ish) rain 😂 Just to add, I'm sure your yacht will have an efficient GPS system, but some knowledge of manual navigation is really useful. I did a short course at a local adult education centre. Have a great time 😊

We are both coming to retirement.

Like you, a holiday home is an option but would like to spend summer in UK so Canaries or Thailand may fit.

Seem to be spending loads of time looking at places online but in Lanzarote obtaining a VV licence to rent when not there is almost impossible at present.

Paul has worked overseas most of his life so may find retirement difficult but can't wait to be in a position to see a flight one evening and fly away the next day to be galavanting naked on a beach within hours.

Can't wait to give it all a go.

"I’m buying a boat , going to sail around the med , as soon as i’ve learnt to sail "

Learning to sail is the easy bit, Learning the weather is the hard bit.

People tend to believe hugging the coast is the safest option, it's not, it's quite dangerous and if you can become very competent understanding weather, its safer deepsea.

Good luck.

I’ve not worked for a couple of years now, I spend my time studying, travelling & just doing all the normal stuff that you don’t find time to when you work full full-time; quality time with friends and family, lots of cooking, swimming, DIY and new things like film festivals. It’s important to keep both your mind and your body active.

I am in a very fortunate position where I *don’t* have to work. At all.

So I 100% work because I want to. And I travel with it. So I am doing what I love. Staying home is not for me. I am not crafty, I love cooking but I also like to eat my creations so would get fat again … everyone else is working so it’s not like spending your days in leisurely lunches and lovely walks.

I was off most of last year and I couldn’t wait to come back to work.

I know I am not answering the question- answer would be I’d be horribly bored
