OP there have been numerous debates about this and it doesnt go anywhere.

I agree i think its misleading people. Anyone can be who they want and do what they want but the person there attempting to contact should have the choice to decide if its for them with all the facts when its about having sex with someone.

This is unfortunately not going to change because of what they perceive as stigma from mostly ladies who dont want to sleep with a bisexual man. Or they dont want to put themself in the bisexual box for a reason only known to them.

I think the best thing to do is just block if not for you and check veris out prior to agreeing to meet bur unfortunately i dont think you can 100% ever know on this site

Or maybe they don't consider themselves to be 100% bi but every so often they see a profile which gives them a zing and they have enough attraction to contact them.

Yes, over the last week roughly 20% openly bi/curios guys, 20% straight and wish us well, 60% straight, but really bi..

We're not bothered about anyone's orientation, though we're not going to be convinced into meeting someone who's potentially lying to us or others vice versa.

I'm ostensibly a heterosexual male. That said, every now and then I see an erection here that definitely has me aroused, which to be honest surprised me at first. Your 'zing' is right.

As a result, I put 'curious' because I am. It occasionally means a couple will be negative, and I get a lot of interest from men separately. Part and parcel of the range of human sexuality, I guess.

Honestly this is not the place to be putting any kind of faith in what's on a bio.

People play with words and change their content often and just plain lie to suit their agenda.

There's a lot would say or do pretty much anything in pursuit of sexual contact.

Green arrow tells the tale for those on forums. You can see posts referencing what they say are their likes and behaviours. You can see who supports questionable choices. But again it could all be fake and lies.

Lots don't use forums so there's less to base a judgement call on to see if they're being open and honest, or at least consistent, in their bio.

I can only talk about my personal experiences but I came out to individuals much earlier than to the big wide world. Let's put that down to a bucket full of shame.

But I have also found that there are a degree of unpleasant connotations that have reinforced some of that shame.

There are people on Fab who will block you if they see that you have viewed your profile and you've classed yourself as bi. Now I get preferences, etc., and they can do what they want but I wouldn't want to meet them anyway if they had that view; however I suspect it's a degree of ism that is more acceptable than other "preferences".

If they are messaging men looking for hook ups then they are sure of their sexuality, I've had messages from so called straight guys and when I've said I'm not interested in straight guys, they claim to be bisexual. They hide the fact that they are bisexual purely because they think women and couples will be put off and that's dishonest, there was a thread while ago where a couple was complaining about having invited supposedly straight guys for some fun. said guys had tried to make moves on the husband/male partner and judging by the replies, they were not alone.

My personal opinion is to be who you want to be and call yourself what feels more comfortable for you at that point as everybody's journey is different. However, be honest though with people in the concersation and certainly before any meet and let them decide whether you are someone they want to meet or not.
