Gmmm seen a few old vs young threads and note disparity between the sexes here....

Women age 45 with 20-25 yo men seems to be acceptable

Men age 45 with 20-25 yo women and he is a dirty old perve in mac lol

Your thoughts?

It's about fantasy though isn't it. An older woman and younger man fantasy is pretty standard stuff, young girls don't as a rule fantasies about old men unless they look like Messrs Clooney and Pitt!

ive generally always gone for me 10years +

Think its a protection and security thing. Dont quite see how a younger guy could offer that. Also being a larger girl im hoping a lot of the older gents would have been there/done that with the 'trophy' girlfriends.. guys my own age are still very much into fast cars and model looks

Of course im talking about dating, but guess i generally find the older man more physically attractive anyways. Salt & pepper hair rocks!

Older man with a younger woman has never been my fantasy. Never did anything for me at all, then I met Tor!

All change! She's amazing and we have a great time together and quite frankly could care less what anyone thinks.

my sons in his early thirties he is quite grown up now.

my hubby is 20 years older than me, when he was with his first wife he was always going out and getting d*unk, by the time he had met me he wasnt bothered about going out, just wanted to stay in watching the telly most of the time.

I had my filters set on here at a minimum of 25, yet the (equivalent of a) fab on another site finds me, 4 months later, in a relationship with someone younger than I thought I would ever be comfortable with.

and yes, we do have things in common

and yes, it is far more than just being sex based

Like any relationship, it has challenges and it has its nay sayers, but it also has its laughs and loves and plenty of them

Life is good - what other people looking in see is up to them !

That last bit is true - and as is the whole debate re Bi men vs Bi Women situation ie; its a real turn to read about two women having sex together but its dead dirty in most peoples eyes for two men to have sex together ??

Some are not comfortable with partners of an age to be their children.

It is, however, down to personal preference. Some young people do find older people attractive and vice versa.

If that is their preference I'll not criticise.

I know what feels too young for me. I also like to be able to have a chat and beyond a certain age gap I think one would have little in common.

You've got ten years on me Randy - and I still see age as just a number.

Yes like most, I have my preffered age brackets - but in the many years i've been here i've met girls aged 20 that are way more 'adult' and mature than those ten years younger - and women in their early 40's who can still easily knacker me out any day of the week!

Age will always be a factor - but it's not always the main one. it has to be looked at in conjunction with so many more personal traits, rather than just in exclusion.

Somebody has said they don't find it "acceptable". Why? Is that just for you or other people? I think calling partner choice of others unacceptable on a swinging site is an interesting statement to make (assuming that's what you meant). Should we then only choose within cultural norms? I was brought up partly in south east Asia where it's quite common to have younger wives and older husbands. So culturally no one would bat an eyelid, wheras here lots of people want to see it as "wrong" often citing the "as young as my son/daughter" argument which I do understand (and doesn't apply in our case) but does it really make any difference?

I also understand the "nothing in

Common" discussion, again doesn't really apply in my case as I don't necessarily want commonality in everything. IQ is the big thing for me and age is irrelevant to that. An agile active and brilliant mind gets me horny everytime and Tor has that in bucketloads!

J and I were in Partners in February and there was a couple in there and the woman kept talking about younger women with older men only being there for the money or being working girls. I'd be of the opinion "Do I care?" if people acted that way!

I've taken a girl 17 yrs my junior to a club and she didn't bat an eyelid about what was going on, and was confident enough to socialise and integrate with others regardless of age.

I often wonder if the viewpoint (especially in a club environment) springs from a tinge of jealousy - both from males and females in some couples.

So far as i'm concerned it's the couples business - no one elses!

Swinging in general is not exactly idolised by the general public and is often frowned on so I wouldn't worry about age gaps in relationships its all pretty irrelevant in the big picture. We all like different things in life after all.

We are 34 & 38

Seems way to young for us in looks too!

When my friends found out I was seeing Tor, no one disapproved, I got plenty or warnings of course (as did she), but, then most of them said things like "how the fuck did you do that?" or "bastard" or equally supportive stuff

People will always make judgements about others and often you'll see a beautiful woman with a less than attractive man and wonder how much he earns forgetting of course that she might earn far more than him!
