Ok

Do you take time to read and understand the op of every thread you respond to or do you look at the header and answer anyway?

I read the whole thread which is why I get irritated in threads like "name a famous Sue" where people keep repeating answers because they haven't bothered reading the previous comments !

If there are only a few replies I'll read them all.

If lots, I'll read the first ten or so then decide if I have anything to add, before reading more.

I really hate scrolling.

Yes for the most part but sometimes no matter how many times it's read I can't understand it.

The header is just there for attention for the most part.

The only threads I don't read fully are the politics threads where people quote lengthy paragraphs of a previous post before adding one word of their own.

"do you"

What are you suggesting?

I shall get my solicitor to write a stiff letter.

Retract and publish an apology or I will see you in court.

😂😂 Oh no! I got what your post meant, I was just making a joke about only looking at the headline 😅

Really, it depends on the post. Some can be quite ambiguous and easily misinterpreted whereas others are just far too long that by the time they get to the point, I lose interest 😂

Carlisle usually

Sometimes the headline is a more interesting topic than the waffle in the actual post. In those situations I tend to reply to the headline 💜

Life is too short to read 164 posts. I'll get to maybe half a dozen then decide if I want to comment.

Let the cards fall as they may.

I know responses get repeated. So what 🤷🏼‍♀️ no biggie

I read them more often than not, particularly the ambiguous ones where I have to keep referring back to the original post, and yet they still don't make sense to me...but they seem to for other people.

It varies with me.

Sometimes the opening post and subsequent replies are v v interesting and I'll read and understand them all.

Other times I misinterpret a thread and it's replies so badly that I wonder if I can even read English.

A lot of people loom in with kink shaming posts.

Just take a look at threads about watersports or best kind of lube.

Sometimes I'll skip down and then notice a curious bit and then I sigh because now I'm going to have to go all the way back to find the root of it to see the whole debate.

😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Oftentimes I'll cop on to the effort versus reward and ask myself why I care to bother and dip out 🤣

Look at the header and then read the OP's post. If it interests me I'll read more of the posts. I dislike repeated posts, or posts that have clearly dived in. If my view has not been expressed I'll contribute, if it's been mentioned multiple times I won't.

I do fascinate at some replies wondering if the reply I gave was from a different planet or is it fab. I think it's fab but it could be me

Paphos and also SW UK

....I've just put all my yarn away 🙂.

Some posts don't need you to read all previous posts, those with a yes / no / I'm in type reply.

Ones asking for 'serious' opinion I will spend time on, sometimes for my own education.

As for the Sue thread, aaarrgghh!

All over

Depends on the thread. If is an opinion, I do not always read every post, especially from certain trolls. If is a list of something, yes as I don't want to repeat the same thing. At the end of the day though it does not matter, everyone does their own thing as long as are not intentionally obstructive or unkind to anyone.
