I got (un)lucky in that my daughter is with my ex so any potential teenage attitude is being dealt with in Singapore now... Upside is that it seems lot less teenage angst led over there!

Sounds like I'm very lucky. My daughter turned 16 last week and she is an absolute joy. No attitude whatsoever , she's studying very hard for her GCSE's and I can't remember the last time I've had to have words with her. She's a proper daddy's girl as well.

Found out where s/he got the tattoo done and report them to the local authority. They can end up on the sex offenders register. Find out where is selling her//him alcohol and report them. Take away their options.

no matter

Get her into sport pretty darn quick.. iceskating swimming snowboarding gymnastics ..

My kids were pretty much in bed by 9 at night as we were all up early 5 am to skate every day on the ice at 6.. 50 miles away 3 times a week 62 miles away twice a week sundays on ice at 430 am..LOL on top of that we had gymnastics 5 times a week after school. They were brilliant teens hard working at school too. no time for anything like trouble making and one of us was always there ... sport is the way to go 100%

Had very similar problems with my eldest over the last 2 years - he's 17 now and managing to turn things around but to do so he had to move from the area, away from the old 'friends' and influences. He's currently staying with real friends, has a college place from September and I'm looking for accommodation for him. I knew he was in there somewhere and although it's a shame that he's had to move it's looking to be the making of him.

'They' are right about it getting better and no matter how much trouble comes just make sure that the miserable lumps know you're there and that you love 'em

I totally agree , my daughter does horse riding at the weekend and she'd much rather be mucking out horses than mucking about with boys.

Sorry Cute, but 3yr old are easy compared to teens. I'm luck, our boy is the eldest and is pretty easy going next to his sister, I have another 4 1/2 years of practice til she hits the teen years

Thanks Ruby. She has been a bit stressed about her exams and it'll be a relief when it's all over.

I am glad I have step grandkids, all the love none of the hassle.

I love being the good guy with the kids, giving them sweets and things then sending them home to mum & dad LoL
