It was the "good for you" range and now I think about it so were the other products, it took me ages of trying different peanut butters to get the right one too!

I think Aldi do an american one and it was ok

before my dad died , he was very fussy what he ate, we used to buy frozen meals so it was easy for the carer to make his lunch as she only had half an hour, asda used to make a chicken and tomato pasta twist bake which he loved and a sweet chilli chicken and rice meal, then bang they just stopped it

I think we should all protest at their removal of our favourite products

"Why don't u make your own?

You grind peanuts in a blender with a little oil, check out some recipes online - you can also put honey in.

My closest Asda is half a mile away, the next one is 12 miles away so will be mighty pissed off and happy at the same time if they stock them

I'm not sure if it was vegetable or sunflower, I never got a chance to try it for myself since my blender went kaput

The land of grey peas and bacon

15 ounces shelled and skinned AB's roasted peanuts, recipe follows

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 1/2 teaspoons honey

1 1/2 tablespoons peanut oil

Directions

Place the peanuts, salt and honey into the bowl of a food processor. Process for 1 minute. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Place the lid back on and continue to process while slowly drizzling in the oil and process until the mixture is smooth, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Place the peanut butter in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Sorry I could only find an American recipe..

When I make peanut butter, it is only roasted skin on peanuts, salt and sufficient oil to bind to form a paste.
