It would be easier to mention which threads I DO join in.

Happily, I will join in any thread where people are discussing and issue or just pissing about with each other.

Threads I don't join and never read are the ones which dictate and demonstrate passive aggression and self interest at it's finest or worst by pretending to be socially caring but using the forum for self medication - I don't mind others commenting on such threads but I don't buy into restrictive bullshit.

Uhmmmmmmmm I have a bit of an internal contradiction with the 'who's wanking or My Aunties farts etc because they range from pathetic to insanely funny ....... so I will peep and decide.

I've even given up groaning about the 'Would you fuck the weathergirl' or 'who likes a big fat cock blocking their breathing while I fuck their throat?' types and I do have a bit of sympathy for the sad sacks who start them.

Even when I find threads interesting if I feel like I have nothing to add to it, I won't comment (usually)

Sometimes I join the 'pick me' threads if I'm needy for attention but I also know that sometimes the rejection from those threads wouldn't be good for me.

I am very wary of posting on anything too sexual because I know it will mean creepy messages or responses.

I almost never join threads where there's little interaction or discussion and it's just 175 random people collectively saying what they're wearing or whatever.

I used to join those but a lot of the women and couples who say they are in, aren't actually. They are happy to answer questions but not ask any in return.

I did an experiment a few years ago where I fabbed every woman and couple who said they were in on a fabathon thread and repeated that on a winkathon thread that was running at the same time to see how many would return the favour. That totalled about 40 profiles.

I didn't get a single fab or wink back.

I don't contribute to face pic Friday threads mainly because the very first time I did and sent my pic to the lovely couple who started the thread, rather than sending one back they just replied to say I might be hotter if I wasn't fucking Irish.

All of the above spoke volumes about how some use the forums and taught me not to trust the fab persona.
