Why do people cut their grass at 9am?

Two reasons: They do not have someone sexy enough to keep them in bed.... which leads me to the second reason: They need to get a life!!!

"why do the sally army always stop and start singing at the house opposite at 9am!".... drove me mad....

I know there is a late night noise limit... is there an early morning one....

can we campaign to get that put back at the weekends?????

i think that using power tools, lawnmowers, etc before 10am in residential areas on a sunday morning is actually illegal, but i wouldn't know where to check it out - and can't be arsed to do so if i'm honest.

We sometimes cut our grass at 9am with our old motor mower, but only if the neighbours have been screaming and thumping about until 3am

Maybe it needs doing and they work different hours to everyone else so its the only chance they got. How do you think people who work nights feel who try to sleep during the day when most of the population is up and making noise.

Normal noise curfew on campsites is between 23:00h to 07:00h. However, try enforcing that with the local wide life!

I wear earplugs to minimise the effect of the dawn chorus etc...

My neighbours would start cutting logs and mowing the lawn etc. from 08:00h onwards which I believe is not unreasonable.

i think 9am is a reasonable time to start the doing the garden or any other chores, regardles if its a w/end or mid week, why waste the morning waiting till it get too hot then you can't be bothered

I'm up at 6.00 to go to work every day in the week, its nice to doze in till 10 or so at the weekend.

It doesn't bother me when people mow their lawn. 9.00am doesn't seem inappropriate to me. I like the sound of lawnmowers in summer, even early morning, it signifies to me it's a nice sunny day

ahhh the familiar early sunday morning garden hoover sound from next door.

Dont think 9 am is too early, kids all gone to school (Op never said Sunday morning! ) most people are at work, if lucky enough to have a job!!!

We both do nights and have noisy neighbours so are used to trying to sleep through noise, the d*unk next door usually has his music on full blast on repeat which does pee me off!!!

I start cutting grass at 8.00am and don`t finish until 4.30pm .... every bloody day!

Can`t wait until 18 months time when I can take early retirment from my bloody job as a gang mower driver!
