How long do I give him...

Hello fellow pervs and pervettes,

after a little advice!

I use another (similar) site and have been talking to a guy who usually works abroad but is currently back in the UK. I am sure he's genuine, seen him on cam etc and I know he's planning on seeing other people while he's back over here too.

A week or so ago he messaged me saying he would like to make a detour to where I live on a journey from Scotland to the south, today/tonight, when I said yeah sure, he said he'd book a room at such and such a hotel (named one in town centre).

All fine and dandy, said he was looking forward to meeting me etc. As I'm online every day and he would usually be too there didn't seem to be any urgency in sorting out the finer details.

So now it's saturday, meant to be meeting him tonight, we haven't arranged a meeting time, we haven't swapped phone numbers, and he hasn't logged in for 3 days.

Until what time do I give him before I give it up as a bad job??

Thoughts welcome! But I would really like to do SOMETHING tonight.

I think I'd probably say now too, although something might have cropped up if he's not been online for three days.

Yes only thing making me think three days isn't that odd is cos it was a few days between logins earlier this week.

But yes I might well start thinking of alternative arrangements...

Thanks for the input!

It happens sometimes that you can't log on for three days in a row (broken computer/bad internet connection/health/personal problems/wife etc.)

If you're sure he's genuine, give him a chance (just my opinion )

I'd say now too, make other arrangements, if he's travelling that far he'd have needed to set off by now, surely he'd message you before leaving? Maybe something has come up?

Don't waste your evening

I'm just as at fault for not sorting a time sooner or asking to swap numbers, but yeah some sort of contact maybe yesterday or this morning would have been nice lol, how does he know nothing has come up at my end after all.

I'm not 100% sure he's genuine, I know he is who he says he is cos talked to him on cam etc but he's not met anyone from the site yet and maybe he's got cold feet. So I don't know if he's genuine in terms of turning up for meets.

Send him a message explaining that you're considering making other plans then start making them! If he wanted to meet he would have began making plans to meet you at his earliest opportunity.

"If I'm genuinely intending to meet someone I always make sure I have their number before the day..."

But I was genuinely interested and didn't ask for his number either. Probably cos I access the sites in much the same way I access text messaging.

Seems like the best plan to me so far: I don't think he should be categorized as a timewaster just yet!! (This was a message from the Single Men defense League )

It is amazing how many men completely do not understand the concept of a phone call,, the talky speaky thing?

I will NOT meet without a voice conversation on a displayed number!!!

I'd say now too.

By way of comparison, I got chatting to a lady on here some weeks ago and we arranged a meet for tonight.

We have intermittantly sent messages via this site, exchanged phone numbers and texted, followed up with a phone conversation earlier this week and the odd message reaffirming that the meet is on, including the hotel name etc.

I have every expectation that the lady will be where she said she will be, and I'm sure she's sure that I'll turn up because of that interchange of messages that reassured us both. Conversely if I hadn't have heard from her or she from me, I doubt the meet would go ahead because of concerns of a no show, so to speak.

Best of luck and hope tonight works out as good for you as I anticipate my night will be.

Nah I have lots of time and the hotel he has supposedly booked in is only 5 mins away in a taxi. If he does message me before something else comes up I will tell him in no uncertain terms that he will just have to wait while I get ready lol.

If he's not logged on for 3 days prior to a meet then either something has cropped up, he's changed his plans and not told you or he's bottled it. I'd have expected some confirmation of the meet arrangements by now. Send him a message asking if it's still on and in the, meantime start making alternative plans. Hope you get something sorted x

Well I'm a big softie and would never be able to say 'on your bike' to someone I actually like lol of course if I find out he's fucking me about then that's a different matter

I've messaged him saying I am concerned about lack of contact and that I don't know if he actually still plans to come down or not. I haven't said what I'm going to do as a result of that lol I haven't decided if I want to make other arrangements or just go buy some wine, change into something unsuitable and faceplant on the lawn in the sun.

Arrange meet, contact day before to confirm, no response c'est la vie.

Here is the best advice you will ever get.

Don't believe a word anyone says, believe their actions.

Base YOUR decisions on their actions, not their words.

Anyone can talk up a storm, meet ya later babes, gonna rock your world, you're the one that I want (ONJ) and all that jazz... it's like e-bay, any asshole can sign up for an account and bid.

Until they turn up with cash money for the item they just bought off you at the agreed time and place, don't go out of your way or change your plans one iota.

Also never pass up a definite "5" for a maybe "8", if the "8" can't be trusted to turn their owrds into actions and turn up as agreed or whatever else they said to you they would do, then they can't be trusted for anything.

It's not a bad site all round and I've got many friends on there, I used to do a lot of meets from it in the past but now mostly use it for socialising, I wasn't even looking for a meet tbh we'd just got to know each other and as he was passing this way suggested a meet up.

It's owned by the same people as this site and also has a reporting system
