Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I have cats. When we used to feed the birds my ex called it 'baiting the garden' but I've stopped doing it now because I don't think its fair.

However I live near fields and see/hear lots of wild birds. We have pheasants, lapwings, robins, chiff chaffs, all sorts of finches and tits (hur hur), magpies, crows, jays, sparrowhawks etc etc

Have house martins and swallows as usual this year but not so many, it's a bad year for them. Have goldfinches, greenfinches, chaffinches, siskins, a tame cock pheasant, jackdaws, most of the tit family, green and spotted woodpeckers, magpies, crows, raven and the spawrrowhawk calls from time to time, saw a yellowhammer yesterday along the lane!

Never had house martins, we had a family of blue tits in my mums place every year since I was young, apart from them keep you awake in the sumner it was nice to see them grow and eventually leave the nest.

I've got a couple of bird feeders - normally get lots of great tits & little sparrows & a couple of others (sorry no bird book in my office!)

Have a nesting box & each year get Great Tits nesting

I used to keep a Harris Hawk in the garden as well, it was quite funny watching a Magpie tuant it by getting close to my bird but staying out of striking range.
