Ye Olde Stable

Ok single girls and guys, who books the hotel....this is of course for those that donot accommodate?

Do you book it girls and then wait for he guy to come to you?

Do you meet and book it together?

Do you expect the guy to book it and them meet him there?

Who foots the bill?....or do you go half each?

Do you expect the guy to pay....or even guys do you expect the girl to pay?

I always pre book and pay for the Hotel, I wouldn't expect a Single or Couple to pay anything towards the cost, the same goes for meeting for a meal etc, if I invite people I pay.

If they are very insistant on making a contribution then I would accept it but never expect anything.

When I'm at a Hotel under someone elses invitation I like to contribute, I'm just a little old fashioned I suppose

If someone already has a hotel room booked and wants someone to join them, I believe the person who booked the room should pay (even if that's me).

If we've both agreed to meet at a hotel for a change or so we can go somewhere - then it should be 50/50... though that might mean one of us paying the hotel and the other paying for where we are going. There are always exceptions, but I would always expect to pay my way.

In the past I've met more couples at hotels than singles. Again if they have already booked it and then invite me and I'm just visiting the room.... well they have the room for the full stay so it's their room in my eyes.

If it's an agreement to meet up and use a hotel room then it gets interesting... I see it as there being 3 people so the cost split 3 ways. Some couples seem to think because they are a couple they should only pay half.

It's not about the money it's the principle.

what Polo said goes for me too.... I never expect and always pay if alone/split with costs if sharing. People reciprocate in other ways with drinks or a meal so it balances out. xx

My point of veiw too ,,, but always take out the cancellation insurance ,,, some let you cancel a few hours b4 check in with no penalty

when we've used a room, we've paid, we'd be using anyway, so no worries.

but, for a laugh, we've booked a few of those cheapy travelodge rooms they did last week.

they started out at £9 each, we got 2 at £12 each, nearby hotel, so we can pop out at night, have fun - as noisy and dirty as we want, then come home, leaving the room for playmates if they want it.

Due to kids, we can't get out easily at night for many hours, so was a great chance for a few quid to pop out for a few hours and have a play.

im a single female and i have happily booked and paid for rooms in the past, dont know if this is the wrong way of looking at things but its how i look at it, if i ask someone to meet i expect to pay as i have asked them, if they ask me then i see it as their place to pay as they have asked me, im the same with clubs even tho its cheaper for me to go alone, if i ask a man to join me i expect to pay, again as i have asked him and if he asks me etc etc you get the pic

However saything that i no longer pay for room as i have arranged a few meets now where the guy has'nt shown up, i dont mind paying but i refuse to pay for someone who isnt going to show, there for i dont ask guys to meet me anymore as i refused to pay for rooms in advance now incase they dont show, however i am happy to go halfs if i agree to meet a guy so long as he foots the bill first and that way im not wasting money

I only use hotels with my regular playmate as like me he lives with adult daughters and we like to maintain the illusion to our offspring the most exciting thing we do is watch Corrie in our jim jams.

As I mostly provide accommodation when our kids get in the way of play he books and pays for the hotel, buys dinner etc as I provide when he stays with me.

On one occassion, my playmate was very generous and booked the room without being prompted, and refused any contribution from me. So I bought him dinner instead, and it was only a meal at Burger King as neither of us fancied the other options available near the hotel.

On another occassion, with a different gent, we agreed in advance that he would book the room, and I would pick up the bill for dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Another occassion, with a different gent, we agreed in advance I would book the room and he could buy me dinner at a nearby pub.

In general, I expect to split the cost roughly half and half, as in one person picks up the hotel bill, and the other the bill for the meal.

I tend to prefer to book hotels so that I know where I am going, and usually they are easier to find on the sat nav than the restaurant/pub/whatever.

I would meet at the hotel and jump into the other person's car to go to eat, so that I can drink!

There are a number of previous threads on this very subject which if you have time you may wish to read for an immediate and more varied opinion by many site members.

Personally I would arrange the meet at a hotel that was showing on the net as having plenty of vacant rooms, then make the booking as and when they turn up, but thats just me.

Downside of pre booking is obviously them not turning up, but also turning up then you find your not sexually compatible.

I would meet for a drink first before proceeding to the next step of meeting for fun, in case we do not tickle each other's fancy and waste money.

As a swingle my playmates always booked the hotel rooms but I always offered to pay half or a third if with a couple. My offer was only ever taken up once or twice but I felt it only fair to offer.

I like to book my own room, and if the spark isn't there when having a drink or a meal with a meet I can at least go to my own bed and not feel 'obliged' or 'pressured' to have sex with them. Saying that I have on occasion offered to share my room with others after a social or party and expect no 'play' or payment... it's polite and expedient.
