Watching it on BBC 4 right now and got transported back to being 16 and having a major crush on The Corrs.

Immediately followed by the Cardigans

Pop music died for me in the eay 90s. I have happy memories of watching TOTP before that.

The 90s will always hold a special place for me.

I’m just lying here enjoying the fleeting memory of being a teenager again.

Also Gail Porter was a proper hottie

TOTP : Nov 8th 1984.

I don't want to start any blasphemous rumours, but they'd had a couple of "poppier" hits before this appearance, and this song resonated with me at a primal level. A musical epiphany for me, and an anchoring of my life at the time, that endures to this day.

1313 Mockingbird Lane…

‘99/2000 best years of my life.

With the turn of the century there was an uncertainty yet optimism in the air. Then 2001 happened & it was all downhill from there 😄

I watched a bit of this last night. With the exception of Blur doing Tender and The Cardigans doing Erase/Rewind it really was terrible.
