Dont spend fortunes on new soft carpet for your home. Go to a carpet store and ask for two samples of the sofest fluffiest carpet they have and just tape these to your feet when you are at home.

This has just reminded me that I need to book annual leave and that that year, in particular, there is ample opportunity to 'smartly' use your annual leave in conjunction with bank holidays etc. so that you are using minimal days.

Instead of boiling a fresh pan of water every time you cook pasta or potatoes, after you've made a brew, pour the leftover water from the kettle into bags and store it in the freezer until you need it.
