Would you ever consider a reconciliation with an ex, or has anyone done it successfully?

"I think an equally intriguing question must surely be,,,,, Do you think your ex would take you back? "

purely hypothetical question soxy! The only ex I would consider a reconciliation with lives in Australia, I think that's possibly why we still get on, different hemispheres!!

"Would you ever consider a reconciliation with an ex, or has anyone done it successfully?

"

My ex and I are good friends, I'm currently making alterations to some of his trousers as he's lost weight following his mum's death.

We go shopping together, phone each other and genuinely get on, I love him as the father of the four beautiful kids he gave me. He is the only man I trust and I know he loves me. As recently as Tuesday one of his sisters asked if we'd ever get back together. Next month would have been our 32 wedding anniversary.

I've not slept with him this century: it would be akin to sleeping with my stepson: yuk!

So a definite hell...no from me!

An ex is an ex for a reason...so that should be taken into account, however my sister got back with her ex after 3 years appart and have now been married for 8

My mum married when she was 17, was together a year before splitting. She then met my dad. They were together seventeen years before growing apart. When I was 22 she told me she'd got in touch with her first husband, they met up and haven't looked back since, together nearly 8 years now.

I would honestly climb over hot coals to impale my cheating ex on a 6 inch stiletto sideways!

But my Aussie ex I would do anything for, he knows while the air is in my lungs he can ring me, stay here if he was ever back over or have a big ass drinking session!

Isn't it funny!?

He left my house 15th November 2005.

I have no idea of the date we actually got married and cant even remember the date of the divorce but it was early-ish 2006.

Oh in answer though No.

I've found it's actually difficult to get back on track with just some nasty arguments so breaking up then getting back together I'd be worried about resentment from before and from the argument process

My mum and dad were married from 1958 to 1974

They divorced in 1974 until 1985

They re-married in 1985 and are still together today

So, whilst it isn't for everyone, it can work

No for me; no to ex wife who I split from more than 4 1/2 years ago. We have 3 children together and get on really well, to the extent that we still occasionally meet up when neither of us are in a relationship but I would not go back into a relationship with her as the reasons I left are still there ... no to last long term gf as it took a rough 18 months for us both to accept the fact that love just wasn't enough.

No No No to my second marriage he was a control freak and nothing was ever good enough for him, I suppose that's why he kept in the family in the end by running off with his step-sister !!!!!!!!!!!

Went back to my ex, he's my son's father, so thought it was worth a go. Sadly only lasted a few weeks as he hadn't changed, so left him for a second time.

Been single ever since!

This is a tough one. I went back to my ex and it lasted another 4 years.

At least I now know I gave it 100% and there was nothing more than I could have done or given in the relationship

So I walked away head held high and not thinking 'what if'...

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

I dont think so as there was a reason or several reasons that caused the split in the first place.

Would I be friends? Possibly and depending on the person, the length and intensity of our relationship and a few other factors.

I get on very well with the father of my children - he is a decent bloke.
