Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Apparently the last two years were so bad they don't think we'll need one for quite some time!

Been 5 days since it rained in York. Bliss!

Unlikely, as the time to accumulate water for the warmer months is during the colder months.

As far as I am aware, reservoirs had been overflowing and water tables very high due to heavy rain toward the end of last year and earlier this year.

Back in March, all the major water companies said that their reservoirs and underground aquifers were at such high capacity, that even if this summer was rainless, there would not be any hosepipe bans this year.

Looks like it will be a good year for apples and pears, may have to thin them out on my trees.

I do like a ripe juicy pear

I heard on a radio show lat week, that in the USA, 70% of their total annual water consumption goes on watering lawns, gardens, parks and golf courses!

Only in America!

That's because they divert water from the Colorado River to feed Vagus' thirst ........so when it eventually flows into Mexico .......well, it just doesn't because it's totally dried up!!
