Thailand, My parents paid for a luxury holiday (we were based in Hong Kong at the time) and I have so many fond memories of the place. I rode on Elephants and saw things I will never forget. It was beautiful and as I was 'well chaperoned' I never saw anything but the touristy side to it

Sicily, one of the most amazing places ive ever been, beautiful beaches, wonderful food and wine, relatively cheap, and so much history with incredible pre christian temples, roman villas, medieavel hill villages and really friendly people. xx

Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman.

Just to be able to stand in 3 feet of the clearest blue water and watching my boys faces when they realised they were surrounded (literally) by thousands of tropical fish. Or, as my younger son put it at the time... "It's like being able to stand inside the tank in PetsSmart Dad!!!"

Was invaded by about 20 coaches of American tourists fresh off the cruise ship when I was there last... the fish would have been scared to put in an appearance

Not quite a holiday but I used to live in LA reunion. For me it had everything. Beaches to die for. Mountains to explore and an active volcano. I am desperate to go back on holiday.

I've just got back from Las Vegas and hated the place. Fortunately, it was only the arrival and departure point of a round trip seeing some of the National Parks, culminating in a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Compared to that, you can keep Las Vegas.

Create for a full fortnight's holiday: beaches, history, culture, local markets, decent cheap places to eat. Was there with ex and her two children so not too sure what it's like for shagging? But not too bad I should imagine

Three weeks on a small island in the Maldives. Why did I like it so much? It's the bloody Maldives for three weeks! I have never felt so unwound in all my life.

Delhi & India...you see extreme poverty and opulent wealth, its rich in history,

you don't realise what the indians and their decendents did for shaping this world but...

its the people who make this place/country amazing

Cleethorpes was pretty amazing, but you'll go a long way to beat Bognor Regis on a wet bank holiday weekend.

We were lucky then the day we went there. All the yanks cleared off to go diamond shopping and we had our bit of the beach (about 500 yards of it!!) to ourselves...

Gibraltar last year.

It was our first foreign holiday and our twenty fifth anniversary present to ourselves.

We explored the old gun emplacements and went into the caves.

Did the tunnel tour and walked up the rock several times .

Also was Mrs J's first flight in a plane .

Loved every minute .

You were late starters fo foreign holidays. We started 11 years ago and have been abroad every year since then, catching up for lost time but also so much easier without kids.
