Hastings

Lucky we have a solid fule stove for heat a gas hob for cooking and led touches for lighting so all good.

In the southeast 111 postcodes today had a power cut we are still without, electricity from 13:35 to day the lane is being dug up again.

But what would be your plan 🤔.

Your gas heating boiler and system need electricity to run unless it's really old. If you have a pump it won't work. 🤷‍♂️

The central heating pump, thermostat, timer and igniter need electricity. Sorry to break it to you

I think I'd go to bed.

When there's a power cut it goes very quiet. You don't realise how much noise all our electrical gadgets make.

I've eaten a lot of carrots, so I can see in the dark.

And I'm like a human hot water bottle, so I'll keep myself and anyone warm too.

This happened around this time last year 🤦‍♀️ as a result I'm stocked up on candles and matches, because sods law says it will also happen when my head torch isn't charged up. Were I not on my own I'm sure I could come up with imaginative ways of staying warm However as a single person blankets and my dressing gown it is!

Camping power bank and lights. Should give us enough power to last 24 hours or more. Provide enough light to use the kitchen (gas cooker), and charge small devices.

And obviously..... early night 😉

If you can cook you can presumably boil water. If you can boil water you can fill hot water bottles up.

Power cut plan consists of hiding in my mums house cos im all electric but she has a wood burner and lpg gas cooker. Happened last year as was put for a couple of days. Luckily the kid were at their dads and his area wasn't effected.

Spent time drinking and knitting. In the evening and had bacon sarnies for breakfast. Lol

16 solar panels, 27kw of battery storage, 200L of hot water & AI inside the system. Apparently there's been 3 power cuts since we installed it all. We didn't even notice them.

Oh when you die. Yeah there's an instruction. I don't care what happens except that everyone gets wasted in my local. My mate that runs the local Indian restaurant feeds everyone & Mrs RC is instructed to buy the biggest headstone that money can buy.

Why?

It's my final joke. In 100 years time, some intellectual will make a TV programme about headstones for quest or whatever it'll be then. They'll do a shed load of research to find out why I was so important, just to discover I was just man on the street that loved having a giggle. The final piss take.

I love the idea that 100 years after I'm gone that some chin scratcher will put time into something as pointless as figuring out who I was.

Again gas for water do you mean a boiler that needs electricity to run and burn the gas. 🔥
