" Buddhism is the main religion in the region and I believe it is one of the reasons, as they preach tolerance and have a belief in reincarnation so you could’ve been a woman previously so parts of that previous life being captured in the present. Having visited Thailand in the past and talking to Kathoey they can be very respectful to their religion, especially to monks when they see them on the street. I also believe as they are quite common within the country each family would probably know one or two within their family unit, same as over here once we became more open and accepting to the LGBT community it’s amazing how suddenly our own families suddenly had gay relatives.  | |||
