A broken down cable-car high up a Swiss mountain in the middle of winter with a uninhibited chalet maid who’s brought along a bottle of fizz and a picnic hamper full of the type of food that lends itself to being eaten from her downy skinned naked body as she adopts a spread eagle position on the sheepskin blanket that just happened to be lying around next to a portable heater and some sented candles.. …

A few things to consider...

Seats that recline by pulling a lever or better still electric are much better than having to lean forward and wind the wheel on the side of the seat.

Front armrests are a no no.

Horns that can get sounded with the ignition off are a passion killer.

A decent radio that works without the ignition on is a good idea.

A Frame type head rests are great to hold on to.

Any car tick all the above boxes? I can only think of the mk4/ Cortina.

I also have a 156 (2005 JTS). Never had a single issue with mine apart from normal service parts that affect all cars. The thing with Alfa's is you need to know how to look after them and ensure they're serviced properly and on time.

My next car is a Brera 3.2 Q4 or possibly a Giulietta GTA when Alfa finally announce when its going into production...
