Were you a rebel growing up? are you still rebellious? Please share some of those moments when you stuck it to The Man!

And if you were too shy/well behaved to do anything rebellious but would have loved to...go ahead...telling us will be as if you'd done it!

I hope to keep this as a light hearted subject .

Ok! Let me give you an example that 2 recent conversations have brought back to my memory.

When I was 15 ish, the school I was in decided to ban sexual education from the cursus. I was not happy about that so I rallied the whole school behind me (350+), and one day we all banned lessons on that day by sitting in the playground with our fist raised high above our heads! No shouting just silent rebellion! Sexual education did not come back on the cursus and I got expelled for a whole week!

Given what appeared on my phone recently thats debatable :p

Personally ive chilled out now..but I was BAD up until about 23.

Used to be out of my house for days on end.

Then I got dogs..and that kind of sorted me out because it meant I couldnt leave them for that amount of time on their own

Yep. My dogs saved me from a destiny involving hell.

Yep. To the point my parents threw me out at 16 and I ended up on the streets before moving into the YMCA for a year.

Our relationship has never been the same since then - I don't regret it. It made me who I am now.

I wouldn't say I was overly bad either - just a normal teenager.

Lost virginity at 14 , raving at the same age as well . Kicked out of a prestigious private school for possession of a certain smoking substance at 15, numerous scrapes and wild times. Come 18 had seen it and done it.

In my younger days I was perceived as being rebellious but for me I was indulging my passion.. Music, gigs, drink, drugs, sex and travelling home and abroad... disappearing for days/weeks on end!!

Because of not holding a job down for obvious reasons and blowing a big cash windfall.. I took stock of myself.. changed my lifestyle.. gained professional qualifications and here I am now and better for it..

I look back and smile on those earlier experiences but do regret some of my behaviour but I wouldn't change anything as the experiences have made me who I am now.

very rebellious when i was growing up getting d*unk and staying out all night, my parents were sick of me.

then when my son was born i became very boring and did everything i was supposed to do. my parents still werent happy though, but at least my son was.

then when my son became a teenager he started misbehaving and was a right pain. as iv got older i think lifes too short to not do what you want to do, within reason. i dont care very much what other people think and think its boring when people act like sheep.

I was a little hard to handle as a youth, I wouldn't say I was rebelling as my parents we're pretty laid back but I did go off the rails for a few years.

At family get togethers now my mother and my sister will always thank Ju for saving me. It's light hearted I know but mum seriously thinks I wouldn't have made it this far without Ju.

If she only knew that ju led me into this murky world of swinging she'd have a heart attack.

And you are still together in a loving relationship! We do not give our parents enough credit! They sometimes are far more open minded than we assume xx

Hmm, some things i did should have got me sent down.

I used to be a punk type, bright red and very long mohawk hairstyle, steel-toed clogs, combat trousers and battered bike leather.

Got quite into the anti-fascist thing when the BNP first became active, plenty of demo's and a bit of argy bargy - one memorable event culminating in me dropping a hand grenade through the open window of the pub that the fascists were sheltering in.

Of course, it was a deactivated dud but the look of sheer panic on their faces was worth the effort!

Used to spend my free time following a band across Europe (was always, working) dossing on rail platforms, hitching lifts etc from gig to gig never knowing where you would sleep that night.

good times...

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool non-conformist, both politically and socially.

I've been attending protests and taking part in direct action since I was in my teens and I hope I'll still be doing so if I live to a hundred if need be. Don't get me wrong though - I don't do it for the sake of it as much as for the fact that I'd like my kids to be able to bring up theirs in a world free of political corruption, religious extremism, cultural repression, corporate sociopathic greed and the like.

If that makes me a rebel then I'm comfortable with that.

Never saw the point in being a rebel for the sake of it - perhaps I was grown up in my teenage years. That said, I have always spoken out when I disagreed with somebody. Politely, tactfully and sticking to the point without insulting the other - well I hope I didn t anyway
