evesham

Went out on the razz last night and stopped on a friends sofa as has no lifts home.

I hate staying over people's houses because I. Feel so awkward in the morning. I always feel like I am overstating my welcome. I generally wake up before them and feel strange waiting for them to wake up.

I also think I snores a lot!!!!

Was out the other week in Chester, and too late fur bus etc. so stayed over at friends.

Problem is they're Dinkies and used to sleeping in til past midday on the weekend, whilst I'm an early bird.

So it's tiptoe through the kitchen, coffee, and quietly close the door behind me as I head for the first bus

If the situation was the other way around would you wake up thinking "oh god they are still here"... or would you be happy to know you had helped out a friend and pleased to see them?

Would you invite people to stay if you really didn't want them to stay?

Would you feel like you had done something wrong if they felt awkward in the morning and couldn't wait to leave?

Put the telly on, boil the kettle ready and accept the fact they are happy for you to be there.

Great point!!!

If it was the other way round..yep I agree with all of that 100%.

But in someone elses house, I just feel awkward.

Its strange I know.

If they were in my house..yeah id be ecpecting them to feel at home and chill out.

But the other way round..would just be awkward for me.

East Sussex

Not keen on staying over either, not because of anything our hosts might say or do we are just quite private people and aren't comfortable in someone elses space like that.
