Each relationship that you get involved in shapes you as a person. Love, hurt and pain to name but a few makes you into the person, good or bad.

There has been times in my life that I choose to forget and other times that bring a warmth to my soul that could light a thousand fires.

Regret not the things you have done, but the things you have not.

"Than never to have loved at all?"

Not in my case. Had I not loved and lost perhaps I would still believe in the concept of love instead of thinking it is a crock of old shit...

I hear you... but I refuse to allow someone else's bad behavior to shatter my illusions. I'm holding onto the belief that someday, I'll meet someone who has the capacity not to be a total cock!

Yes definitely.

Look back on all those previous relationships. The break up was the best thing that happened to you!!

But you have some good memories of the time together.

It isn't other people's bad behaviour, ultimately I cannot trust my own judgement to know what true love is....I got it wrong.....

I'm not even going down that road. I'm going to believe that I didn't get it wrong. If I believe that I did I'd never trust anyone ever again. I know exactly where you're at... I just can't allow myself to think that. I knew what I felt, it was real for me and that's what's important to me. I hope you figure it out, it sucks ass thinking its a crock of shit. x

Yes, yes and yes - had some great times and some pretty shitty endings. Rather like bi-polar sufferers - mostly they love the ups and don't want to be 'cured'.

They say its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. But if you sit down and count the cost of all those loses then theres no profit at all.

Not really...I am genuinely happy....I love my life and am doing things I never thought I would. I have no one to answer to and I make my own decisions. I can happily live without a partner or love....

That's really cool then. I'm not unhappy with my life and I don't need a bloke in it to make me feel whole... a whole lot of sex would fill that gap.

When I was younger and idealistic, I would have said yes.

Then I aged, became a cynical old git and realised it's better to be the 'losee' rather than the 'loser'...

As the song title goes "love hurts"

Yes for the few time's i've been in love. I felt complete like my life has meaning. But the bitter side to love can be the hurt. The complete emptiness your left with after your heart is broken.
