Watching it on Living TV, documentary on age difference in relationships, how about him 44 and her 17, acceptable?

Or maybe him 62 and her 24 acceptable?

I personally don't see an issue with it, we're a more tolerant society nowadays, no doubt someone will find it distasteful.

i find it revoltin to be honest whether its older man younger woman or vice versa!! hate mail to usual address!!!

there is 10 yr between me and a "friend" and sometimes i feel its too much!!

i suppose as long as the 2 parties happy thats the main thing and sod all to do with the rest of us xx

23 years between me and kev, im 28 and kev is 51 and there is NOTHING wrong/sick/distasteful or any other such description about our relationship.

Love is love as long as both parties are mature enough to make the decision that its right for them and not taken advantage of then there is nothing wrong in it.

I do question the scenario tho where you have aging millionare marrying porn star Anna Nicole but she did openly admit she was marrying him for his money and we all can see what hes getting out of the deal.

Well its up to the individual couple, as most know jay is 23 years older than me. I didnt plan on being with someone that much older it just happened. However, i do question in my mind what a 17/18 year old would have in common with someone in there mid 40's plus especially if its a lad.

I would write a reply about how the brain has a clearout at puberty and why some 18 year old boys are not adults… girls tend to mature (mentally) before boys do… anyway I can’t be arsed to write it lol

Large age differences… well once both are over 30 (just to be safe) I can’t see a problem. Where one is under 20 and one over 40 then you have to look at each individually for the reasons behind the attraction. Sometimes it is genuine love, a lot of other times there are other motives and reasons behind the attraction.

I get plenty of lads under 25 (some under 20) asking to meet me…. I have to wonder “why – why would a fit, attractive young lad of that age really want to have sex with someone old enough to be his mother and doesn’t look like:

Nicole Kidman (40 years old)

Halle Berry (41 years old)

Monica Bellucci (42 years old)

Michelle Yeoh (45 years old)

I can understand why they’d what to spend a night with one of them!

But the possible reasons why they want to have sex with and average, overweight 40something from on here… well the thought of those reasons is enough to put me off meeting them.

Cant say i agree with this, love nothing more than a night infront of the tv curled u with kev and a cup of tea, and if i/we want a night out then kevs up for that just as much as i am, granted with having the pub our ideal night off isnt a night out on the town very often lol

I don't have a problem with other people having relationships with a huge age gap. If it works for them then good for them.

Personally, the thought of spending the night with a nubile, 18y/o, firm-breasted, flat-stomached..... I really don't have a problem with it...

I have more disposable income now than when I was married the first time with only one child. I'm now married to my second wife, have a baby son and still pay maintenance for my daughter, yet I have more money now than ever before. Wierd innit.

Personally it's all about being comfortable with yourself and your partner. As I don't live in a vacuum I would't at 49 be comfortable with a 20 something and I would question my 20 something daughters if they rocked up with a man my age.

I have enough to contend with to worry about silly old men with young girls or silly old women with toy boys.

Funny how people see things from different points of view. I agree with the whole no baggage thing that's why I prefer older men, kids have grown so time to play. A younger man may play with an old bird but the reality is only for a while til he wants a family of his own.

That said elderly parents take up time too lol!!

Bottom line: extremes in anything is not good because it's unstable!

to be honest there is always gona be people like you who have prejudices against what you see as the norm whether that be age colour size anything i personally had no intention in falling for such a younger woman but you cant change fate and i wouldnt swop her for the world whatever her age size or colour but lets face it how many people who are not in this lifestyle would think what you do is unstable kev

Well all I can say is Furry is 9 years younger than me and I did worry about it at first, but neither set of parents, my kids or our friends don't seem to worry so now I don't either !

And my 19 year old son is now living with a bloody stunning, blonde 40 year old with 3 kids !!!!!!!!!! but he's happy so I am too..........

Why would he assume I was talking to him especially as I prefixed my post "personally". I couldn't see myself with a 73 or 27 year old as I wouldn't feel comfortable with either and my peace of mind is paramount.

Personally, I can't imagine, as a 47yo Guy, being with anyone younger than 40 or so on the basis that I'd want some sort of friendship and doubt I'd be able to sit and chat with anyone younger.

You know something it goes right over my head what people think. Its amazing how many people give us a big smile in the street when where holding hands. My mother thinks Jay is wonderful and shes two years younger than him, none of my friends made any comments about his age and suprisingly my son just said as long as he makes you happy. Maybe its cause they can all see how much we are in love. Not to forget we can get the oap rate when we go anywhere

I have a friend, a hard nosed south african/cockney 83 yr old besty mate

we go shoping and often people ask if I am her daughter

she says

"no my daughters not a fatty and she far prettier"

we stand there and piss ourselves laughing but it raises a few eyebrows

I have a mate, he is 45, maybe 46 by now, his partner is a stunning 21 year old gorgeous model type girl, they have been together 2 years, totally 100 gaga about each other.

They are happy, so everyone that knows them are happy for them, however there are still some problems, the desire to go out clubbing all the time, the blue hair dye, the money spend on fashionable clothes etc, but even tho he wants to go clubbing all the time and has blue hair she still loves him

IMHO, physical and mental age can vary significantly within a person.

I have come across quite a few young at heart peeps in the 50s and 60s, and also young people in the late 20s who think and behave as if they are in their 40s/50s, as in old before their time!!!

As I said before, if the relationship is genuine, then who cares?!
