Central Portugal

Bia Hoi or Fresh Beer in Vietnam is just fantastic but one of the joys of beer is always having to try more. There are bars in Amsterdam that stock thousands - even found a friend's very small brew from London there.

Omg … the options are so endless whether it be matched with food, whether it’s with friends after a long walk, whether it’s on holiday in hot sun

There has to be a beer for every occasion!

The go to for me is Guinness, but the times when I love speciality beers to try and Belgium beers are certainly those on the list

Probably my best bottle beer is either Timothy Taylors

But the options, thank goodness are endless and that’s what makes it so fantastic!

I tend to be biased towards dark Porter beers in truth

And I remember years ago working in the city having breakfast near in Smithfield market having a full English with Guinness frankly I think I’ve been transported to heaven!

Yes did a few real ale trails in pubs and micro bars etc in my time but not had any for nearly 2 years now.I did like the odd craft cider non fizzy old rosie type and loved farmer Jim’s range.

German Lagers are my go to. Top one, Augustiner Edelstoff.

Most readily available supermarket/weatherspoon beers are all brewed in one or two mass breweries to original recipes, but aren’t the same as the originals.

Shout out for Budvar, an excellent Czech lager still brewed there.

But the one I keep going back for is Oscar Wilde, by the Mighty Oak Brewery. A really dark mild, very drinkable.

I will if I can find it, just checked it out and see it’s Brandy barrel aged, only place around here that sell’s Durham brewery is a craft bottle shop in Birmingham I’ve been through them all and tried everything gluten free they had in stock

I’ve just had a look on brewery shop only 2 of the gluten-free beers I’ve not tried (the others I’ve already had from the bottle shop) not sure about the Turkish delight stout which says it’s G/free on real ale finder but isn’t on brewery shop

I'm an old school real ale kinda guy. It frustrates me to hell that most pubs have 6 different lagers, loads of ciders and only IPA or bloody citrus beer. Not a real ale in sight.

My favourite beer has always been Camerons Strongarm, a ruby ale, but I also like Greene King Abbot Ale, Theakstons Bitter and similar.

I'm enjoying 'Tyskie' at the moment...think it's supposed to be Polish but the cans are brewed in The Netherlands...you can't complain about that! Better than any UK brewed garbage.
