Lemon Meringue Pie

Lemon meringue pie is on special offer at Waitrose at the moment but something is not quite right.

You can get the big whole pie for £1.99 OR the new two-pack individual pies for £2.10.

What's the right thing to do in this situation?

It's still only available for breakfast by special order!

Though I recommend buying both packs and testing to see which tastes the best

The big one! A spork would be good for a lemon meringue pie!

I've just read about your offer, which is what reminded about the pie conundrum I was faced with this evening.

I'm not really bi but for your room, towels and breakfast offer I'm willing to try anything. I'll bring the LMP, it's only fair.

Looking at the pictures, the little ones look like they might just glow a tad more than big one.

My real query is that the extra pie you get, for less than the two individual pies, is essentially free. So, does it make the extra calorie free too?

Only if consumed with an appropriate desert wine

I get lots of lovely eye candy in my Waitrose: Dermot O'Leary and Mark Foster were regulars last year. I haven't seen them recently but I keep my eyes peeled.

I wouldn't be able to make one for £1.99 so it's not the most economic solution.

You bake though, so you might have the ingredients to hand and the oven on for other things. I get fed but not lemon, meringue or pie.

Buy the big one but have somebody feed it to you tied up and blindfolded, then you can claim you you didn't know how much you were eating and even so, you were made to do it.

How hard is your meringue? Actually, best not to answer. When you've sorted the pots and pans will be fine.

I simply happened to mentioned about LMP's to my next-door-neighbour as we put our bins out this morning .....

She graphically explained her aversion to lemon but mentioned the concept of an OMP sounded palatable....So basically I’d like to give her one….

I have £3.72p in loose change available and an old library ticket which has my picture on it to help me complete this quest.

I have now tried the individual LMPs as they are on offer.

I do not recommend these. The constituent parts ratios are wrong. Stick to the big one is it provides better value for money and satisfaction.
