Worthing

Anyone remember these lovely dancers on Top of the Pops? As a young lad always recall liking their moves. My fav is the routine to Gilbert O'Sullivans 'Get Down'. It's on Youtube.

They we're very "of the time", and some of the routines were very risqué. No wonder dad's were keen to watch TOTP.

I may be slightly incorrect here, but I'm sure they were lead by Arlene Phillips of Strictly fame.

It was Flick Colby Who formed and led them.

Arlene Phillips was the Choreographer for Hot Gossip.

"Was it Hot Gossip on the Kenny Everett Show ?"

Yep, and then Sarah Brightman sang “I fell in love with a starship trooper” with them on backing.

I wasn’t looking at those, it was the artistry in their dance moves that took my interest

East London

All that training and hours of ballet to strut around a stage making silly faces and pointing.

I remember sitting and watching them with my dad.

Afterwards I went and asked my mam,"Are Pans People bionic".

No,she said,why?

Dad just said he'd like to screw the arse of them!

I remember as a pubescent teenager watching Pans People dancing on a Thursday night on top of the pops

I remember as a teenager getting an erection watching them dance to the Edgar Winter band oddly enough this thread has just brought back that memory!!! Thank you OP!

Didn't Babs marry the actor Robert Powell?

Yorkshire - but we travel a lot

Their dance moves seemed risqué at the time, now they look so tame and dated!
