Normal to be cautious?

Hey guys been a while since I started a thread! I've been on and off here for a little while, I'm pretty busy so I can go weeks or months without logging in but apparently I can't stay away.

I find that I shy away from meets a little so I'm still yet to properly organise one. Basically my question is, is it normal to be so cautious? I'm pretty confident in my day to day but when it comes to here I seem to hold myself back.

Plymouth, South west

Have you thought about attending a social or a club? Maybe you'd find that environment easier if you're confident in your every day life? X

This is very different from day to day life.

It involves getting naked and being the most intimate you can be with another person, so yes, I think being cautious is wise x

Maybe you're putting too much pressure on yourself...

Perhaps view fab as you would a dating site. Get chatting and arrange to go for a coffee /drink .

Then see how you feel!

In a 'regular' social setting a lack of caution is a red flag so your perspective is definitely in the majority.

On the surface of fab it seems like it's a bit reversed because of the audience and the general notion of sex being the goal. But actually, even though free-wheeling meets appear to be the way to behave here, in reality they're still in the minority.

Do you mind me asking what gives you that impression? So far I've only considered meets with people I've chatted to for a while since I've always hated ons and can't imagine I'd feel different on here

Not a bad idea, I am a bit of a coffee fanatic I think I just get in my head a bit that there's an expectation

Ok that's good! Tbh my favourite part of being on here is the forums and chatting to people just nice to know it's not weird to be on here and not meeting loads!

It's natural and reasonable to do what's right for you here, including how you engage with others. And to be cautious about how you engage with and meet people.

Others have mentioned socials and clubs and I agree that they are low risk ways of meeting without pressure
