But Eddie Murphy's Delirious is still one of, if not the greatest stand up show ever. Been watching it on and off for 40 years and it still makes me laugh my ass off. The Elvis bit cracks me up. "Elvis want some lemonade?" "Lemonade. That cool refreshing drink." 🤣🤣🤣 Chappelle is the one who comes closest to being as great.

It's of it's time, I haven't watched it for a long time but I'd imagine lots of the humour wouldn't get passed the cancel culture brigade.

But the same can be said of many comedians stand up routines from many eras.

But if you enjoy it and find it funny no judgement here

It’s probably in the same league is Roy (Chubby) Brown

Almost cancelled all over the county because of the far left who just can’t see it’s for laughs and nothing else

Many people even like Jim Davison the old school comic can’t say anything without persecution

Eddie Murphy and Billy Connolly were my 2 video choices for stand up when I was younger.

I suspect I probably wouldn’t find them as funny now but as a teenager they were gold.

Eddie Murphy was definitely class back then, recently watched the Beverly Hills Cop movie and it just wasn’t the same with him in it, however delirious was class, raw not as good, many great ones from the 80s, Richard Pryor et cetera

Yes, a number of the jokes in this would not fly in today's standards. But it's today's standards that I feel are the problem. Laughing in this day and age is slowly turning into a crime. Look at how many people justified what happened to Chris Rock by Will Smith at the Oscar's.
