just turned down sex from my first ever meet on here lol i bet some lads think im daft for doing so because it can be hard for singles to find meets but im not shagging anyone who lies. I got chatting to this person a few week back and really got on so we swap pics and decided to meet but the girl who turned up looked nothing like her pic lol she wasent what you would class as ugly or a big girl but i wont and cant stand being lied to.

I met a guy in a club, just socially, and he told me about his fab profile, then added 'you may not recognise me though as my pictures are from when I 18.'

Needless to say I didn't add or verify him, he told me he was 40 when we first got chatting!!!!

I had a guy turn up looking nothing like his pictures. I did play with him (huge mistake) as the next night his "fiancée" turned up. 8 months later he turned up at Mum's again (I was living there when I met him) without invitation, it was at that point that I pulled him on looking naff all like his pictures.

Yea but not to a point that they are barely recognisable or airbrushed to the max. I edit my pics, but don't change my appearance in any way and often get told I don't do myself justice or that I under sell myself. I just want to be honest.

I often wonder if a guy will think the same of me when we meet, all my pictures are real, up to date and not messed with but they are just pictures after all and we all like to look good in them to attract our potential meets. I must add that no one has (as yet) turned up then walked away so I guess I must be doing something right.

And this is why I meet in a busy coffee shop first... It's amazing how many people think that you'll overlook the fake or doctored pics!

I've been told I look much better in person than on pics, don't see it myself though. Last meet I had was gobsmacked at how I look in person.

I have cancelled a meet on my doorstep as the guy I was meeting in his photo was dark haired and tall and stocky build but the guy on my step was grey, tall and extremely larger than pic showed.

Sadly it happens a lot on here and you are not the only one who has backed out once meeting. Chatting on cam is always recommended then you know at least it is them and not 20 yr old pics or someone else's they are using. The biggest thing creping in is the over use of photo editing and the deceptive camera angles I really don't see what people hope to achieve.

I look like my pics, bit bigger in the body now but there are uptodate ones. Unortunately at the moment, Im sat here with bedhair, no makeup and pjs, so look a bit worse for wear but turn up for meets having made the effort.

I have a 'couple' this week contact me. They apparently live local, but cant send pics and not prepared to orovide a comtact number. My birthday wasnt yesterday!!

Who chooses their worst picture or angle when uploading an image?

I don't do anything to my image but I now put borders and colour onto my pictures. I crop pictures to present a better visual or to remove identifying marks. It's me. I think those that have met me can attest to the fact that I haven't misrepresented myself but I don't think I have met anyone looking exactly like my pictures.

I usually do it to crop out the background in case people want to comment on my curtains, wallpaper or the pictures on the wall. We all looking at the pictures is really about examining the background.

I've yet to meet someone who looked nothing like their pics - most have been far nicer!

But I guess that comes down to the quality of the pics!

I don't tend to put too much faith in blurry, fuzzy shots and more often than not i'll have seen them on cam in chat anyway - so trying to pass off a ten year old photo wouldbe a tad tricky - even with a generous application of stage make up!!

Most of my meets have looked better in the flesh, and none have shown me anything other than recent, genuine pics...it all comes down to the individual's selection process, and as an uber fussy bird I choose carefully!

I haven't had any complaints either

We feel sure that some people lie about there age on their fab profile. Taking at least 10 years off. Either or they had 2 paper rounds when they were young.

I had one where he had sent a pic which was obviously 10 years old (as it didn't match his age) Now unless he had been bathing Oil of Ulay (or whatever its called now) and had been drinking from the chalice of eternal youth, then I would have bought it, however, he hadn't! So I pulled him up on this but never got a response. I still went on a social meet with him. Although he was 10 years older than his pic he still looked a bit like it, just a few more wrinkles n grey hairs

It never went further than a coffee though.

I wear glasses now but don't wear them on my pics as a) some of them are older than Christmas, when I started wearing glasses, and b) I don't wear glasses when I'm shagging.

Also, they've got that weird reflective glass in so look strange on photos.

Anti reflective finish on your lenses, an extra 30 quid but worth every penny.

And before anyone asks, yes I do wear my glasses when I'm shagging, I like to be able to see him

I was chatting with one chap - for several weeks on A N Other site. When I asked him to cam with me - to verify identities - he admitted that he'd used his son's pics on his profile!!!! He was 48, his son was 28 lol. Needless to say, no camming or meet followed

simple remedy is just ask them to pop in to webcam for 2min in a chatroom here .... this day and age anyone that says they dont have a webcam is quite silly..as any latpop in last 4/5years has them built in ...

I will never meet anyone without seeing them on webcam first ..

I have never known how to get the camera on my laptop to work but I wouldn't go on camera either. I show verifications to prove I am real and there are pictures.

good move turning her down.

i had a meet with a lady some time ago. in reality, she was 10 years older and 10 dress sizes larger than the photo. luckily for me, it was a social meet so i was able to avoid any unpleasantness.

it works the other way too though - i had a meet the other day and was asked if it was really me in my photo. ouch!!! i confirmed it was and we moved on. our social meet ended up with a few hours of fine sex and we're meeting again in a few days. guess that i look better in real life than in my photo. thankfully.
