does anyone have any experience of internet divorce services? Is it possible to end up legally and cheaply divorced or are they rip off merchants?

My ex-hubby did all the paperwork himself and only cost 120 or so GBP back in 2004/5.

Saved us a fortune going to a solicitor!

However, the split was very amicable as he was, and still is, a great person with a greater heart, and we did not argue over anything with no children involved.

If there's no disputes over money/property or kids involved - just fill the forms out yourself!

Pick up a pack or download online and stump up £340!

Simples!

"As pearl said it is easy if amicable and both parties agree to seperation details.

You can get free 1 hour consultations with solicitors, so you could go to a number with different qestions for each.

You can go direct to to the courts for papers now, so no need to get companies involved. "

The court fees involved are clearly stated on Gov.uk website, and they need to be paid for by the persons applying for the divorce.

I just went to the court myself and got the paperwork. Also got a claims form for legal costs as I was a low earner with a dependant.

Didn't pay a penny

A lot of the quick divorce online companies. Hide the bit about the court fees. I was looking into it last year. After reading what they charged for what they do. There was a line saying court fees are not included. £400 is a lot of money to me. And bloody hard to find. Hence still legally married.
