I'm. A guy who has trained to spray tan. I had too as my daughters are dancers and its required to compete. Was costing me a fortune paying for it. My question is would men or women come to me to have it done as I'm concise ring a career change? Input would be appreciated

If I were into spray tans and I had got to know you and trust you, I probably would consider it.

I'd say maybe try it in your spare time and see how much of a response you get before putting all your eggs in one basket and packing in any other jobs you may have - Maybe visit local gyms and ask if you can leave some leaflets or business cards with them? (So long as they don't offer the service themselves, of course!).

Unfortunately I do think most people (including a lot of straight males) feel more comfortable with a woman.

Just see how it goes.

Thanks for your input. It's a funny one . May give it a little go . A couple of my lady friends have it done by me and feel quite at ease. Think it was me a little embarrassed when one of them stripped off naked at first lol

I'm in the spray tan business

and know of a very very successful male tan technician . But I think he started aimed at males, then got work via word of mouth.

No guys want to undress for me to tan them so there's a market there. And I found it hard starting up as a lot of people would prefer a total stranger to do it, had girls at work saying "I'd hate to be in my undies in front I you as I know you"

I (mr) think it's a great idea, especially if your mobile, as no local to me fem technicians will spray a guy, I know my missus would rather a fem do it, but there must be a market especially with younger fellas especially with towie and made in Chelsea being ever popular and trend setting, go for it, the costs if you have the equipment will be minimal

I have no issues with Man or Woman doing it. I have also been for a couple where the person has converted their spare room into a 'Salon'. If your considering the career change you need to think about more than just spray tanning as I suspect you will not make enough on that alone to sustain a living. Get trained in massage and waxing too

God blessed me with a permanent tan, so it wouldn't interest me, however I can't really see how you'd make enough to live. I would have thought you'd need to other things too: waxing, eyebrows, waxing etc. The type of metrosexual male that would tan wants top toe grooming. People lead busy lives so a one stop approach would be good.

To be honest, I don't know if I'd be overly keen at first. But if I had gotten to know the man i.e he'd done other treatments on me and I felt comfy with him, it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

I used to have a male beautician do all my treatments but he never did spray tans as he would get the girls in his salon to do them as he knew the majority of his customers preferred the girls to do them.

It wouldn't bother me. I walk half naked through clubs so it would be silly to freak at the idea of a man spray tanning me.
