Yes its us again crapping on about smoking..however, this time I would like to thank the guy that recommended Allen Carr's Stop Smoking book on the last smoking thread we did. Over the weekend we have both spent the best 4 hours reading his book and not actually touching another cigarette again. We are not going to turn into those anti smoker whingers tho but if anyone is considering quitting it was the best tenner we have spent and will save us £4200 a year!

In Your Bush

I am the exact opposite. I considered it a waste of money. I gave up by other means.

Respect to those who have given up....I've tried 3 times and am contemplating trying to quit again. Funny thing is, with me it's not the health thing, it's the cost that makes me want to quit

Yes..well that was one of the biggest issues we had..to waste£4200 a year is ridiculous.

Well done those who have managed to do it. Unfortunately I'd end up in a cell if I gave up. Not many people would be left alive

Well done!

Ive been told by friends who've read it, you must keep smoking while reading it until it says you can stop.

Drove my mates crazy, they were racing through book just to get to the bit when they could quit!!

i know a few people who were hardened smokers who have taken to them e ciggys, you can get some weird and wonderfull flavours and theres shops popping up selling them around here,if they are harmless and wean you off the real stuff it must be a good thing.

I've been stopped 10 years this year, had a couple of goes at it before then. Stopped by cold turkey just before I met my now husband, he is vehemently anti smoking & has told me he will divorce me if I start again, thts enough of a reason for me not to start again. ....x
