I find it funny that so many claim to be "professional" but spell it wrong.

This has been in the forums numerous times, but in fairness you may not have seen it.

Professional couple....probably decent folk, work hard have ethics.

Usually if you are getting really mad and angry about this, you are wearing a white shell suit, drinking white lightning and think safe sex is not with your sister.

Of course this is a sweeping statement.

No it means that they want to meet people they have something in common with not just a shag. They may want to meet with people who like to converse about similar things.

Not what I meant necessarily.

Yet again the anti people are on one about anyone who says they are professional. We are not all posh, live in big houses and drive flash cars. Some of us had a working class background and had to work bloody hard to become professionals often against the odds. I did my final year at uni whilst living in homeless families temporary accommodation. I'm sick of having to defend myself as a professional. Why should I ?

I am a professional, I would never be that arrogant or lacking in self esteem to need to describe myself as such.

People are people

Best answer yet.

I always have a suspicion that "professional" couples are all on the game.

You don't: you choose to.

If people want to start threads, usually based on rejection, let them. If it makes them feel better about themselves, all power to them

I asked what it meant just to clarify for future reference. Now I have a good picture and agree that it's another way of meeting people of the type your looking for. Nothing to do with rejection or anything else. Just a question.

There have been some funny answers though

Anyone who earns money from their job / business is a Pro, up to what degree is either here nor there.

Manners are far more important than than the level of a persons earnings or place in life, we have met millionaires and we have met unemployed and depending on the person neither are any different.

Usually we find people looking for other pro people are looking for a confidence boost, people's personalities are more important than their social standings...

I assumed always that 'professionals ' were doctors, dentists, lawyers, accountants bla bla bla but it seems these days alot of wot used to b called 'blue collar workers ' who have reached managerial levels refer to themselves as professionals

Wots in a name eh?

Status and ego. Look at me. Personally couldn't give a flying frig what someone does for a living. If they are clean, intelligent (notice not academic) and sexy with a slice of good personality then a thumbs up from us.
