Whilst it's sometimes nice to meet people with similar views and interests it can be equally as nice to step outside of your more conventional circles and mix with those a of differing views ..... Oh, controversial, but good on you Fabio. Umm, personally I have no objection whatsoever if anyone dislikes he Welsh and calls me a card carrying, sheep shagging, cave dwelling Taffy. 'Tis their opinion and they are perfectly entitled to express it in a free society in my opinion, as long as I am entitled to honestly reciprocate with any opinions I may have. I think my answer would have to be : "depends on how extreme and how dogmatic the opinion was ". Prejudice is wrong, but postjudice invariably forms people's opinion, I have been to 75 countries I generally ( there are always individuals ), liked the people from 70 of those countries, the general, majority behavious of the men from 5 of those countries did colour my opinion towards them somewhat. As for specifically black origin people, I have been out with a black girl , ( ah Linda , sigh ! ) and had several black male mates, a few I disliked, So, I like some black people, but not all, and I have a suspicion of anything Nigerian having been asked to send money beloved in God 567 times a day for the last 10 years | |||

Not a chance. Our profile makes it fairly clear that we are left of centre and we like to meet people that are like minded. That's not to say we sit there talking politics but certain political leanings tend to attract people of certain mindsets and mentalities. To be blunt I've never met someone that is openly racist that I have wanted to spend any length of time with let alone have sex. | |||

I've never liked Socialism and still believe that it is nothing more than Communism in the slow lane and see the Socialist dominated EU. as a threat to democracy.
I think that the tax and benefit system (both in the UK and here in Germany) discriminates against the hard working and although there should always be a safety net for those who are genuinely unable to work, idleness as a career option should not be available to anyone. It's high time (nay well overdue) that we stopped spending our great grandkids money to win elections today.
I see racism has reared its ugly head above, but these days who can define racism?
Of course it's racist (and abhorrent) to persecute or abuse anyone because of the colour of their skin (you will notice I missed out belief, but more of that later) However how can it be racist to want to preserve our/my/your own culture? I read only the other day that some nutjob so called academic called Dr Who a racist because he likes Cricket FFS.
I also don't think it's racist to want to protect our borders, and that immigration and access to my/your/our hard earned tax money and services has to be strictly controlled. I also don't think it's racist to control where our foreign aid tax money goes, rather than the laughable situation we have at the moment where an Ethiopian is suing the British government because (allegedly) British aid paid for him to be sent to a resettlement camp
As for belief. Yes I would persecute and abuse anyone whose belief is that my way of life has to be destroyed and that I should burn in hell because I don't want to live in the stone age, and I make no apology to anyone for that.
Some of you will agree with me, some will call me a Facist (hey ho, I've been called worse)but one way or another unless someone grabs Britain by the scruff of its neck and shakes some common sense into it, as Frazer used to say. WE'RE ALL DOOMED.
So for now at least I'm voting UKIP and 'er indoors for the new AFD in Germany. | |||

I'm a strong believer in looking for commonality in people rather than differences - anyone can start an argument - it takes surprisingly little effort to make friends....regardless of politics. If we all glued ourselves to our political views prospects for future peace anywhere in the world would be even bleaker than they are now. obviously those that are colour prejudiced or similarly biased should be avoided on the basis of being a thick. Otherwise come on Tories - play with some socialists - and Socialists - play with some Tories ..... I'm sure we can all find some common ground! "
Reminds me of the old joke about a Labour supporting husband and a Tory wife.
On a night out they had a blazing row, he slagging off Cameron, her doing the same about Milliband. Later that night they were in bed, back to back, and in silence.
After a while she thinks that a good shag will clear the air and says.
If the Labour member would like to stand, I think he would get in very easily, to which he replies.
Too late, he just stood as an independant and lost his deposit. | |||
