What song makes you cry?

Jump to newest

I'm in a soppy mood today (hangover + family crisis has made me little miss soppy!)

So what song guarantees to make you blart your eyes out?

Most of the Les Mis soundtrack does for me but the biggest one that makes me cry is definitely the Defying Gravity from Wicked - the words in it about not accepting someone else's limits make me all bleary eyed!

It doesnt make me cry..but I do get engrossed in deep thought though.

Good Riddance (Time of your life) by Greenday.

My nephew (20 at the time) was teaching his dad the chords on the guitar. A couple of weeks later my nephew died in tragic circumstances... that song was played at his funeral and the words couldn't have been more poignant.

I always get a lump in my throat when I hear it.

The Clapton song is called Tears in Heaven....as a tribute to his son Conor who as a toddler plunged to his death from a window of a high-rise New York apartment.
