Considering how dirty phones are supposed to be - do you ever smell dirtiness from others' handsets?

Do you disinfect your own?

I wipe my phone with disinfectant fairly frequently. That's mainly because I handle our pets then pick it up.

Often see blokes come out of the toilet cubicles on their phones and walk out without washing hands, Walking Petri dishes.

I just had to sign a handset for a delivery and had a conversation with the courier about the amount of people who have touched the screen.

They didn't supply a stylus so everyone had to do it with their finger.

Not hygienic at all.

I had just washed my hands,and I washed them after signing.

Yes, it's rank. I clean mine weekly, I have a quad lock thing so it's on my bike out on the roads and stuff too so gets pretty grimey

I guess that a lot of the nasty stuff might not smell, despite huge colonies of bacteria etc breeding furiously, whilst the phone keeps them warm and damp . Perhaps it's a pity that they don't smell more, as it may get them cleaned more often

I handled cows and pigs the other day, rinsed my hands in the troff of water the cows drink from, then ate a sandwich and crisps... dirt on my phone is the least of my worries, and im still alive and not ill 🤣
