To be fair, it it was the us team’s decision to rip out all the rough, which was the thing that made the course so fearsome and famous… that has backfired badly!

Whilst some of the American crowd and even course management went way to far... Let's not delude ourselves the Europeans were perfect including some of our caddies and players... And reflect what it was like in Rome. It needs tidying up otherwise it will get spoiled permanently. It's golf.

Incredible entertainment. Lowry making me proud to be an Irish man tonight. Serious applause for Luke Donald too, and Tommy Fleetwood the Golfer of the Year in my opinion. Åberg proving again that he’s the man for the big occasion following some of his good showings in Major Championships… only a matter of time before he wins his first (I hope)…. Huge credit to the American GOLFERS, not supporters, after today. Cam Young, JT, Bryson, Scheffler

….all deserve huge credit IMO for the golf they played.. JT moreso again for his sportsmanship he showed yesterday. Final thought - The State of New York should be banned from hosting a PGA event againfor some time… roll on Adare Manor 2027 🇮🇪

I watched the BBC highlights show this morning.

Gotta give massive kudos to the American players. They played some next level golf to get that score as close as they did. A record haul of singles points and still being on the losing side.

Two more years for Luke, or shall we see Justin Rose as the next skipper?
