Norfolk

should I post this in this thread or the miserable people thread?

we live at the bottom of just about the only hill in Norfolk (don't laugh its true) so I have to go to the shop for a few things (oh and seige mentaility has stepped in again - no bread all gone by 10:30 apparantly) struggle to the end of the drive to see a kid on a sledge shoot by, good job I wasn't going to fast. Off I toddle to the shop, come back and there isn't just one flammin idiot on a sledge but several with their mums/dads pulling them back up the hill.

Now my point is all should have fun but use the flamming fields, who are the parents going to blame when little johny ends up under the wheels of a car that skids trying to avoid them?

rant over!

Use a bin bag. You have to find some fairly deep snow (no shortage of that round here) as thin stuff means a bruised butt.

The first couple of go's aren't very good as you have to shape a grove into the snow with your backside. Once you've done that it's like a bobsleigh run and you can carry your 'sledge' in your pocket.

You're right. I need to stop being such a cheapskate and buy a proper sledge...
