He has our old commodore 64.

The games are on a cassette tape, takes best part of a day to load a game. Lol

We set it up a few weeks back, it still works. And still takes forever. But when the game title screen eventually appears.

Oh boy.

It's better than Christmas. lol

I read somewhere that "Betamax" was actually a better system but VHS was marketed more successfully.

We sell DVD's & had an old guy 2 weeks ago ask for a VHS tape...a bit of a shock but we done him one lol!

We also (for their own private use) convert peoples old stuff on VHS, VHS C, 8mm, Hi8, DV who want their naughty bits edited onto DVD with a menu which means we still see a lot of tapes.

Try to copy tapes before they are 15-20 years old as they will degrade xx

"What is VHS? I'm too young."

Mentally, maybe

I had a clear out of VHS tapes last month, it was a struggle finding a charity shop that was willing to take them. Still have the recorder though, have a few family videos still.
