Beef Dripping

I have a couple of standard smoke alarms in my home.

I also have an air fryer.

I do like using olive oil when cooking.

I can and have cooked several times a full English breakfast. Not to mention all manner of other stuff from curries through chilli and on to salad filled wraps.

My smoke alarm never sounds. Well, it did sound once and I couldn't see the kitchen for fog.

However, I just bought some three times fried chips, fired in beef dripping, from my local German supermarket.

After 9 minutes in the air fryer, my smoke alarm resolutely starts screeching. I've air fried some of these chips on 3 occasions and each time the alarm sounds.

Yet there is no visible smoke.

How bizarre.... is my smoke alarm detected beef dripping and singling it out for my attention?

Why does my smoke alarm seem to have an issue with beef dripping?

Just one of those curious things I like to share with fabsters and I'm sure I'll lay awake tonight worrying about it.

Your smoke alarm is vegan or vegetarian and doesn’t like beef dripping

I just thought this must be something to do with the "things you can say at the dinner table and in the bedroom" thread. 😂

I really wanna join in with the Julie & beef dripping picture appreciation but feel like it’s too late now.

I’m just gonna pretend that I’m not impressed.
