with seeing clothes advertised on very tall women.

I'm a shade over 5ft and shop in the petite section but still the clothes are displayed on tall models. They just aren't going to look the same on me.

Why do they do it?

I'm average height (5'7ish) and very squishy lol, I see clothes advertised on slim models and mannequins and know that my mum tum will make them look abysmal on me lol. That's also very annoying

Amen to this. Clothes nerve look the same on me as the models as they're usually about 5'10 so totally different proportions

I think it's a ploy to make you perceive the clothes as being slimming.

Model is 6'8" weighs 5.5 stone and is wearing an XXXS size, is almost hidden in clothes retailers' photos online

Even many plus size models are 5’10-6’ and so a size 18 on her frame will look very different to my short arse 🤣

I've been looking at Pinterest to get some ideas for autumn/winter. Some of the outfits look great until I realise the model is around 5ft 10 or over and I know it won't look the same on me.

I had a really nice dress that I wore all through one summer, I bought it from a charity shop. One day a friend said she had the same one but did I realise it was a top

I hate buying trousers too! I love a tapered fit that are looser on the thighs and more slim around the calves but it seems every pair I try on are too tight on the thighs and loose around the calves so it looks stupid 😭

This!! Trying to find a dress that fits my top and my hips is a nightmare, I'm one size on top and a bigger size round the hips, they are either too tight on top or it looks like I am wearing a bin bag. Rant over for the day, thank you Mrs TMN I feel better now!
