Struggle with 1st couple of messages

When looking through profiles you see that women and couples want confident men, want you stand out and put a well written message together. But I have complex PTSD and as much as I have it under control 99% of the time, I can’t stop over thinking even with the easiest/ smallest of things. So when I see a profile I like my mind goes into overdrive and I start questioning myself then I normal just give a fab or on the odd occasion a wink. Once a few messages have been exchanged I’m fine. But then when it comes to meeting for the first time I can again struggle for 10 to 15 minutes as my brain goes into overdrive again.

So should I explain on my profile that I have PTSD? If I did would it be something that would put people off?

Without having looked at the rest of your profile, I think the answer is if it is effecting your enjoyment of this site then yes mention it but also don't make it your complete personality.

I would mention it, will save you the anxiety of it coming up later on.

Also anyone that is put off by it probably wouldn't be a good match for you anyway.

Yes I don’t want to put it on my profile if people are going to think that, that is my personality. As there is definitely a lot more to me and once I’m comfortable my true personality shines through.
